Accreditation
and School Improvement Plan
Feltwell Elementary
School is accredited by the North Central Association
of Colleges and Schools. NCA is also the accreditation
agency for 19 states ensuring the DoD schools are comparable
to U.S. school districts.
To meet NCA standards
a school must undertake an improvement process
which begins with the development of a mission
statement
and a student profile. This is followed by
an appraisal of the school's organization and
instructional effectiveness.
Feltwell Elementary School successfully completed
the NCA evaluation May, 2005.
School Mission:

SCHOOL GOAL STATEMENT:
Feltwell
School has two goals for the school year 2007-2008.
Student Performance Goal #1: All students will
increase their writing proficiency across all areas
of the curriculum. At Feltwell Elementary School,
this means students will improve their proficiency
with expository writing, or writing to inform.
To help us achieve our writing goal we are using
a well respected, nationally recognized program, “6+1
Traits of Writing”. Information about this
program can be found at their website.

Student Performance Goal #2: All students will increase their proficiency in
mathematics. At Feltwell Elementary School, this means students will improve
their proficiency at collecting, organizing and interpreting graphic information.
To help us achieve our math goal we are using a website designed for teacher
lesson information, The Rubicon Atlas. We will also be using a website from the
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, NCTM, “Illuminations”.
More information about this can be found at their website.
