Williamsburg Battlefield
My project is on Yorktown Battlefield. Yorktown Battlefield is in Williamsburg, Virginia. Yorktown Battlefield opens at 9:00 am and it closes 5:00 pm, it is also open for the whole year exept for Christmas. You will see fortifictions and cannons. On October 19, 1781 the last battle for America's Independence took place on Yortown Battlefield. The news of the British defeat shocked people in London, England. Celebrations took place throughout the United States. This site is famous because that is were American Independence was won on October 19,1781. The battle was led by General George Washington and the French Army. You will get to see a lot of cannons, fields and fields were solders risked they're lives for American Independence.
